Transparent Protection Systems, Inc. (TPS), a wholly owned division of Nytef Plastics, Ltd. is the manufacturer of ClearGuard® Hurricane Panels, made exclusively from super tough, UV resistant polycarbonate, and sold internationally through a comprehensive network of authorized dealer/installers.
 
Polycarbonate is an impact resistant polymer resin originally developed for high performance, demanding applications such as bullet-resistant glazing, military aircraft canopies, power tool housings and even compact discs. Because of the extreme toughness of this material, TPS offers a full Ten-Year Warranty* against breakage on every panel sold.
 
ClearGuard Hurricane Panels are available as a "do it yourself" project for homeowners through home improvement retailers or on a completely installed basis through a national network of authorized dealer/installers.

Custom Extruded Profiles:

Nytef Plastics offers custom profile shapes extruded from virtually any commercially available thermoplastic material. From giant 16" wide double corrugated polycarbonate, to tiny 1/8" precision extruded high temperature PEEK, Nytef Plastics has the capability to quickly and efficiently produce profile shapes on time and on budget.
 
To meet the needs of designers on fast paced projects, Nytef has installed the latest in powerful CAD technology for designing and estimating. To quickly turn around accurate extrusion dies, we transition customers' drawings from virtually any format (including IGES, DXF, and DWG) directly into our in-house wire EDM. These precision dies translate into precision extruded profiles to satisfy even the most demanding end users.

ClearGuard® Storm Protection Panels:

Through its Transparent Protection System Division, Nytef Plastics manufactures its proprietary ClearGuard® Storm Protection Panels. When installed over windows and openings, these transparent panels provide homeowners with protection from high winds and wind blown debris. Because of the extreme toughness of the polycarbonate used to manufacture ClearGuard® Storm Protection Panels, TPS offers a full Ten-Year Warranty against breakage on every panel sold.
 
Transparent Protection Systems, West Palm Beach, FL (TPS) is located in a 50,000 sq. ft. facility that encompasses the manufacturing for ClearGuard® Storm Protection Panels and Nytef Plastics' extruded Custom Profiles. TPS also has the capability to produce UNITAL Acetal and UNIPA Nylon extruded stock shapes to supplement the production capacity of Nytef's other extrusion facilities. This facility is totally self supporting with full CAD design capability and an in-house tool and die manufacturing shop.
